Ohmigod, movie deal! And vegas!

I call this the “Hi, I spend too much time at the gym” shot.

My brother got cast in a movie with Kim Basinger! Ok, so he’s doomed to the asian gangster stereotype role but still… YAY! I might actually get to go to a regular movie theater to see him as opposed to hunting for an art house theater or the B movie horror section at Blockbuster. LOL

I think the best part about the whole thing was the director asked them last week to grow as much facial hair as possible before they started filming next week. I was dying over that one… ok, people thought Leonard was shaving his legs in HS cause he had like no hair. (I’m sure he’s thrilled I’m posting this publicly.) Maybe, if they had asked him 3 months ago… I dunno though. =D

‘Kay, enough embarrassing of the sibling…

I spent the past weekend in Las Vegas visiting tristencitrine and joshuaaaaaa. As a surprise added bonus, rurouni_jedi and g_mal were also there, so we got to see them which was yay since I hadn’t seen them in forever!

Bubbles!

And here we have a… actually I have no idea what it is. I just remember it couldn’t get around very well; it was more from the ‘controlled sinking’ school of swimming. =D It’s cute though isn’t it?!

This guy was at the Maui Ocean Center along with a whole lot of other fish that I dunno the real names of but if you want the character from Finding Nemo, I’m all over that!

Anyways, back from Hawaii. It’s good to be home! And now I get to sew like a madwoman for Fanime!

In other news, my brother’s very first straight-to-dvd movie came out yesterday: Fright Club! He tells me it’s horrendously bad, and he recommends that viewers be either really really drunk or really high if they plan on braving it. ^^;

I’m still proud of him though. ^_^

Oh! If anyone is doing Bay 2 Breakers next weekend, lemme know! A bunch of us stormtroopers are planning on walking it! I’m pretty psyched! I’ve never done it before and it sounds like it’ll be a riot to do in costume. I’ll admit to being a little nervous. I mean walking 7 miles is not a biggie but with the armor and black bodysuit underneath… well, we’ll see how it goes. @_@

Yoyo supervising my room re-org last week. Like a true manager, he just watched and got in the way of the real work.

I’m gonna be out of town this weekend for a friend’s wedding. Specifically, I’ll be bumming in Maui, trying not to get melanoma (hello SPF60) and trying not to think about how I shoulda brought a sewing machine so I can cram for Fanime.

LOL. Not for realz. My only goal is that I’d like catch up on sleep… and maybe finish Shining Force on the GBA SP. (Don’t say it shinbios! I know you bought it for me 2 years ago. ^^; I’m a busy girl!)

I also need to sew rhinestones on the dress I’m wearing to the wedding because like the true nut that I am, I opted for pulling an all nighter and making a dress to wear as opposed to going to the mall and buying one. (I hate malls.)

So I’m a little short on sleep but I am now the dorkily happy owner of a Takarazuka musemuyaku revue style dress. Minus the bling which I am going to remedy soon. =D

Ok, back to work and then to the airport.
