I realized recently that I never posted photos of the chocobo and moogle baby quilts that Mi and I made. Lorelai was pregnant with identical twins (OMG. LOL) last year and these were the quilts we gifted the twins. This is obviously the most delayed post ever, but it’s a new year and I’m trying to catch up. =)
We were able to source the backgrounds completely from Mi’s fabric stash. She assembled the background and I did the chocobo and moogle appliques. The black was cut as an overlay and stitched down over the solid blocks of color. I love how it turned out, but it took a while to stitch it all down and the chocobo was especially tedious.
I assembled the backing using I-Spy blocks, and Mi quilted and bound the edges.
The quilts have been in use for the last year and the twins are especially fond of looking at the I-Spy side now, so I’m really glad we added that.
