Hanagumi!

I love Youtube! I just found the Hanagumi Pimp skit from the 2004 Takarazuka Sports Meet. It’s so awesomely ridiculous that y’all have to watch it. =D

And then people will actually know what my rather obscure costume is from. (Let’s all ignore the fact that I put the hana character too low on the back of the shirt ok?)

Trinity Blood Photos!

We’ve got photos of our Trinity Blood costumes from World Con!

So, obviously back from World Con and we survived! As soon as I got back, I went into work crunch mode so I haven’t had time to do much of anything, including sleep. Again… I’m really looking forward to the long weekend and being able to sleep in!

I’m sure I’m just being redundant and y’all are sick of hearing it but we won Best in Show at World Con! Pretty neato yeah?

Thanks to all my hcc_cosplay girls! Couldn’t have (and wouldn’t have) done it without y’all!

One of the coolest moments at World Con was when a Japanese author, who was attending to receive an award, came backstage to find us. She wanted to tell us that she was a friend of Sunao Yoshida (creator of TB) and how happy he would have been to see his characters popular in the U.S. It was so sweet and so sad. We told her his series is really really popular here, and of course then she wanted pictures, even though I had stripped down to my bodysuit… yay. @_@

Trinity Blood Progress

Well… the good news is the chest armor is done. Yay!
The bad news is that I still have no clothing to wear under the armor. Boo!

Oh and Mizu (in my icon) just got named next top star of Yukigumi!!! Ok non-takarazuka fans don’t care but I’ve been waiting forever for her to make top. And her first role is gonna be der Tod! How awesome is that?!

Forecast calls for Rayne

dmk26 wanted to do a photoshoot and I have no new costumes that don’t have awesome photos already, so I decided to pull out an old costume. We ended up with BloodRayne as he wanted to shoot at night.

Ok, I think it’s high time this costume got retired. =P It’s three years old and if I had to do it over, I’d seriously reconsider some of my design choices but I’m not making it over. Plus it’s so damn impractical. I can’t do anything in it! I can’t even walk properly in those stupid heels. Yay for strong ankles from playing ice hockey or I’d have broken them already. =P

Ok, anyways, point is: we got some awesome photos. Yay. =D
