I really wanted to make an Avatar costume but my favorite character from Avatar is Toph, and I’m too tall to do Toph. (Which makes me all kinds of sad.) Cranky girlfriend Mai is another favorite and goes well with the Zuko I made for Marcus, so I decided to do Mai.
I’m still in fight mode with this wig. I keep having to redo the buns every time I wear it because I think it looks ok and then I see photos and they look all weird. I’ll probably finally get it right, just in time to retire this costume.
