About a month ago, I made a new costume for the larva for a photoshoot with Ed Pingol. We were wearing the fairies and obviously, she needed a costume too. =D

First post of 2013!
I posted this photo on FB but I thought I’d make a real post of the larva in her costume debut. It’s a baby flying bison from Avatar.
My baby room is no where near as fancy or as pretty as Aimee’s… I’m just not big into decorating. ^^; As long as everything around me is functional, I don’t pay much attention to how it looks. I think we did ok in making the baby room a little more than just functional though!
And because all the baby talk kind of makes me go: @_@ (and yes I know I should probably try to get over that real soon), I included kitty photos at the end of this post. ^^;
I made two new costumes for Costume College: a regency dress out of a blue sari and a Tang Dynasty dress. I’ve also been sewing a bunch of small projects and doing some quilting in my spare time.
It’s been 5 years since I’ve been to Costume College and I’ve gotten more into historical costumes over the last couple of years (thanks to Judy and Aimee), so I was excited about going again.
Judy and I taught 2 classes: 18th century wigs (actually Judy taught this one and I was her T.A.), and resin casting in your kitchen. I attended a couple hat making classes and an heirloom sewing class. Sadly, I missed a couple classes I really wanted to take because of limiteds. Next year, I need to pay a bit more attention to when my limiteds are. ^^;
I came back all inspired to make more historical costumes!
