A couple weekends ago, praedestinatio, butterballbunny, and I went to Filoli. I’ve never been and I wanted to see it before it closed for the season. If you live in the area, you should go ’cause they close soon!
Death Dealer Photoshoot
I just got the photos from my Underworld photoshoot from Jeff, and they are soooo amazing!
When I asked Jeff to go out and take photos with me, I was kind of expecting us to go out and pick a spot and just take photos with some street lighting at dusk. Instead Jeff showed up with all these lights and stands, and with Mel and Marcus acted as lighting assistants, we spent an entire night running around SF taking photos.
I was soooo cold but it was so worth it!

Exploding houses & my garden (not that they’re related)
Last week a house in my complex exploded. Not like Michael Bay ball of flames explosion, but there was a definite BOOM. I work from home so I felt it, and I thought it was an earthquake… until the cops knocked on my door and told me I should probably evacuate since there was still a gas leak.
Okaaaay.
So I packed up the kitties (who were most displeased) and we fled to Judy’s house, where we camped out for a bit until it was safe to go home.
I went by yesterday morning to take some photos of the asploded house.
Avatar Photoshoot
We did an Avatar photoshoot a couple weekends ago. Cheryll was awesome enough to come be our photographer and we had a relaxed, totally fun photoshoot. And then we had donuts and cold pizza after which is how all photoshoots should wrap. =D
I feel the need to do more Avatar costumes now!
(Oh and in case it’s not obvious, I finally managed to get my website moved onto WordPress. Woo!)
Underworld Death Dealer
So in between fixing up my Mai costume, I’ve been working on my Death Dealer costume. I’ve wanted one of these costumes since I saw the movie, so I’m pretty excited to be finally making it! And because I have seen this movie way too many times, I know that there is an asian female Death Dealer in the background of one scene who wears the same outfit as Selene.
I’m kind of hating pleather right now though. I probably should have chosen a stiffer type like the movie’s, but I had some leftover pleather I bought in Japan years ago that I’m using instead.
Other than the corset, the rest of the costume is “done”. “Done” as in I purchased everything else. =D The Death Dealer I’m doing doesn’t have the arm cuffs Selene has so I don’t have to make those either.
